I'll take a shot at predictions for a change.

Pittsburgh defeats Los Angeles in two games. The Millers' superior starting pitching, coupled with favorable lefty/right advantages, proves the difference in the two games.

Maine takes down Morgantown in three games. The scorching hot Guides continue their streak, as their bats carve up shaky Morgantown starting pitching and the road team wins each game, with Twinkle Toes Alvarez's record remaining lossless since April.

Death Valley hammers Batavia in two consecutive games. The tag team of Willie Fajardo and Todd Martin holds the Muckdogs in check while the Scorpions lineup batters the overwhelmed Batavia starting pitchers, knocking them out of the series without surviving the sixth inning of either game.

Washington survives Baltimore in three games. Home field advantage proves the difference as the Bats manage to keep the two Washington games low scoring, allowing them to eke out a pair of wins by a total of three runs.

Ironically, I don't feel comfortable with any of my predictions and it's completely based on the randomness of a three game series. I think the change of playoff structure is really going to add to the league. There are more chances to dance but the importance of winning the division is huge.

I agree. The last month of the 2017 regular season has been as exciting and fun as any I can remember.

So hard looking at Pitt and LA . Is the format 1 day off between games? If so LA in 3, if game 3 is right behind game 2 then Pitt takes it #PatYahnfactor

Maine over Morgantown 2–1 in a minor upset. Saying minor due to PTY records. #playoffreset

DeathValley 2-0 versus Baltimore just overall is better team this season. #someonehastosweep

                      Batavia 2-1 against Washington. #IllessthenDL

                      There.

Thought the heavy lefty SP of Pittsburgh would be the difference.

Good series. Like I have said before, the Dinos have the elite talent to beat any team.

Let's see if I'm a bit more accurate (even blew the IL versus)

Pawtucket over Morgantown town 4-2. Normally I don't pick us, but the hitting should negate each other which means pitching for Paw should carry the day?? Now watch us get swept.

LA Dino over Dallas 4-2. Dallas has overall better pitching , but there is such serious veteran firepower in that Dino lineup.....and Pat Yahn. Stars seem to carry teams come playoffs.

Seattle over Batavie 4-3. Honestly I think Batavia's pitching is blah, but not thrilled with Seattle's weird duct tape rotation either. It will be a great series with Seattle out bombing them in the end.

Philly over Washington 4-2. Washington will hang for a bit, but Philly appears the most balanced in the IL.
