There are plenty of forum rivalries around here, new and old. That's not what this thread is about though. What are some of the best on field rivalries of the last few years? What are some rivalries that could emerge with the new expansion divisions? I'll give you one current rivalry and one I think that could emerge, you guys add your own to the list...
Best Current Rivalry
The I-95-alry
The I-95-alry
Possibly the best three way the BLB has ever seen. Brad, Delandis and Liquid have been battling it out in the I-95 corridor for a few seasons. The new (new) Stout doesn't change that. This is reminiscent of the Ale Arms Race I and II of the mid 1990's between Pawtucket (funclown), Hartford (umd), and Pittsburgh (Z) where every time a GM made a move to separate themselves, the others made a huge counter move. Sure, now you have Batavia (Matt) in upstate NY and and the Knights (Spectre) in Manhattan, but it's this Philly, Baltimore, DC battle that's the focus.
Los Alamos (Spot) vs Windy City (Scortch)
Eventually it'll be Seattle (Pat) and Death Valley (umd) again, just like the old Stout days. For now though, with Seattle in expansion mode and Death Valley on the downswing of a dominant run, it's going to be a battle of up and comers in the Bock. Both teams are loaded with young talent.
The starting rotations alone have the potential for a great series each time they play. The Amigos with a future rotation of Harmony-Hurst-McCormick and Stone versus the Blues rotation of Teel-Cook-Boyd-Aguilar-Pryor could be epic.
Add in rising stars all over the field for both organizations in Yonke and Mullins in the desert and Ratley and Asiku in Chicago, and it could be a race to the top of the Bock for both franchises.
