The return of an old classic... For those that don't remember or were not yet in the league, Clay used to put out a set of Power Rankings each year that everyone really enjoyed. He claimed to have developed a formula (which is even funnier now) to calculate how well a team was set to perform entering the season.

Well during the my five season break from the league, I was able to crack the code!

    Behold! The return of SHAVERMETRICS!

    DISCUSS!

    Notes:

-The DL has five of the top eight teams. The DL also has nine of the top 14. Clearly the power league currently.

-Only three teams received a score of sub 300, Pawtucket, Pittsburgh and Death Valley, last years Pre-Season favorites. The difference between #7 to #14 is less than 50 points.

-Based on last years standings the highest riser is Wilmington, 78-84, 4th in Stout, to #8 in the rankings. Based on last years standings the largest drop is Philadelphia, 95-67, 1st in Stout, to #15 in the rankings. OF Ethan Bafford left Philadelphia this off-season for Wilmington.

-These scores do not reflect my opinion... It's just math.
    Wilmington Wildcats- 2057-
    Seattle Pilots- 2017-2041
    Washington Bats - 1979-2013

              Great stuff Pat.

Washington is going to be tough. Baltimore is going to be tough. Philly is going to be tough.
