The following players have been nominated for the first annual Rex Knight MVP Award sponsored by the Acme Corporation. Voting will begin today and end the day after a new BLB Champion is crowned. Voting is PUBLIC and OPTIONAL.
CL Reynaldo "Stinger" Jimenez
Who doesnīt know Jimenez nowadays? Jimenez has pitched 80.2 innings, scoring 133 Ks against 14 BBs and 6 HRs. 40 saves + 6 wins in his pocket and a 2.8 WAR 2nd best on the league behind R. Manning from Denver among the relievers. Stinger is the big reason for our 2nd best record (DL) 29-24 1-Run games during this season. Rey received his 12th All-Star call during this year. Putting the 1st Rex Knight award in his case would be the icing of the cake for a fantastic year.

4.9 WAR
All of this at the age of 35. Jamie has been an intricate part of our lineup this season and we are proud to have him nominated for the Rex Knight MVP Award.
OF Tom Estes
OF Tom Estes
A lock to bring home yet another DWI Award in LF, the 35 year old Estes had a renaissance at the plate this season. Estes posted his highest WAR (5.5) in years, while batting .304/.370/.392 with 4 HR, 58 RBI and 78 R as the Scorpion's leadoff hitter for the majority of the season. More impressive, Estes posted a 21.3 ZR abd 1.177 EFF in LF this season.
C Ray "Voodoo" Davilla
He's the best player in the league.
Hits for average, power, drives in runs.
He's done it all this year.
And he's a freaking catcher!
What could be more valuable than a catcher who does all that?
SP Dave Teel

I'll post the Windy City MVP. It should come as no surprise that I'm nominating Dave Teel. He's pitched admirably all year, racking up a 2.70 FIP and 2.83 ERA, but his real value to the team came at the plate where he holds a .408 average and .860 OPS. #OuthittingIndy'sDH
LF Ricky Murillo
In Baltimore our MVP just happens to also be the IL Stout Slugger candidate, Ricky Murillo.
Murillo has had one of the most electrifying seasons of any Baltimore hitter in the team's history. Despite being part of an organization that has seen more than it's fair share of lefty sluggers, Murillo has topped them all setting the single season home run record for the team in just 122 games played.
Murillo leads the team (and the BLB for that matter) in nearly every statistical category that relates to power. Add the fact that his defense has been above average in left field for the season, it is no wonder why we have chosen the former FSU star as our MVP.
CL RJ "Basher" Manning
The 36-year-old closer is one of the organization's most vocal leaders and hardest workers. His exemplary work ethic has become the example young future leaders of the Denver staff have identified as a major component to success and a major contributor to the team's +6 Pythagorean Record.
With his arm, he has anchored one of the DL's best performing bullpens and is dutifully posting another season with a sub 2.00 ERA and sub 1.00 WHIP. It is his ninth straight season saving 30 or more games, and the eighth straight year striking out over 100 batters in less than 100 innings of relief.
His FIP is a career low 1.17 (the lowest qualified in the entire BLB) and with a 3.3 WAR has beat his previous career high WAR of 3.2. There is no player more valuable or more effective to a team's success in securing a victory.
