What could be more valuable than a catcher who does all that?
    He's awesome.

Someone that plays more often than a catcher? I say this having not even looked at the number of games played, so there!

I wonder what the game does to oppress a catchers offensive numbers due to the demands of the position defensively?

WE NEED CLAY TO RUN SOME SINGLE PLAYER TESTS!

That's really good for a catcher of his ability. You know what I'm saying, though.

I would be interested to see his offensive stats as a DH or first basemen though, just for giggles.

He got about 20 starts at DH this year to keep him in the lineup on his rest days. It worked pretty well.

On that note, I'll post the Windy City MVP. It should come as no surprise that I'm nominating Dave Teel. He's pitched admirably all year, racking up a 2.70 FIP and 2.83 ERA, but his real value to the team came at the plate where he holds a .408 average and .860 OPS. #OuthittingIndy'sDH

In Baltimore our MVP just happens to also be the IL Stout Slugger candidate, Ricky Murillo.

Murillo has had one of the most electrifying seasons of any Baltimore hitter in the team's history. Despite being part of an organization that has seen more than it's fair share of lefty sluggers, Murillo has topped them all setting the single season home run record for the team in just 122 games played.

Murillo leads the team (and the BLB for that matter) in nearly every statistical category that relates to power. Add the fact that his defense has been above average in left field for the season, it is no wonder why we have chosen the former FSU star as our MVP.

Denver's Rex Knight MVP Award nominee is R.J. Manning.

The 36-year-old closer is one of the organization's most vocal leaders and hardest workers. His exemplary work ethic has become the example young future leaders of the Denver staff have identified as a major component to success and a major contributor to the team's +6 Pythagorean Record.

With his arm, he has anchored one of the DL's best performing bullpens and is dutifully posting another season with a sub 2.00 ERA and sub 1.00 WHIP. It is his ninth straight season saving 30 or more games, and the eighth straight year striking out over 100 batters in less than 100 innings of relief.

His FIP is a career low 1.17 (the lowest qualified in the entire BLB) and with a 3.3 WAR has beat his previous career high WAR of 3.2. There is no player more valuable or more effective to a team's success in securing a victory.
