  • The Rex Knight MVP Award Sponsored by Acme

New York, New York (ESPN) - The Acme Corporation announced today that they will be sponsoring the 1st Annual Rex Knight MVP Award. The award will be presented to a Brewers League Baseball player who embodies all of the qualities that Rex Knight displayed as a player and now displays as an ambassador for Acme products worldwide.

"Rex's production and leadership on the field, and as a spokesperson for our company, is unparalleled. We take great pride in being able to present one BLB player the Rex Knight MVP Award in honor of their achievements on behalf of their Brewer's League Baseball franchise," announced Vice President of Public Affairs for Acme Corporation, Y. Lee Kayote.

All participating BLB franchises will nominate one player (pitcher or hitter) for inclusion on the Rex Knight MVP Award Ballot presented by Acme Corporation, in conjuction with BDub Graphix.

Nominees should represent the BLB franchise's most valuable player as determined by the club, based on contributions on the field and in the clubhouse. All players included on the ballot will be voted on in an optional league-wide poll beginning at the start of this season's BLB Playoffs. Voting will close on the final day of the BLB Playoffs, when a new BLB champion is crowned.

Teams interested in nominating players are to submit the name of their nominee and include a brief summary regarding their contributions to their franchise this season.

                  CL Reynaldo "Stinger" Jimenez
                  Who doesn´t know Jimenez nowadays?
Jimenez has pitched 80.2 innings, scoring 133 Ks against 14 BBs and 6 HRs.
40 saves + 6 wins in his pocket and a 2.8 WAR 2nd best on the league behind R. Manning from Denver among the relievers.
Stinger is the big reason for our 2nd best record (DL) 29-24 1-Run games during this season. Rey received his 12th All-Star call during this year.
Putting the 1st Rex Knight award in his case would be the icing of the cake for a fantastic year.

                              Voodoo!

He's the best player in the league.

Hits for average, power, drives in runs.

He's done it all this year.

                              And he's a freaking catcher!

What could be more valuable than a catcher who does all that?
