I'm not sure if they did anything quite yet...maybe a little.

I think in the future they along with the 3rd Arb rule will make it harder to amass a lot of cheap talent. I'm already looking at next season and won't be resigning several of my FAs to be...Lowe, Flores, and Diego M the most prominent. Instead I chose to reinvest in Combs and Smart.

That means those guys will be on the market. They aren't superstars but over time I think a few will make it in the under 30 range. Then the teams with money or go for broke will have the chance to pay them $25m+ (like we would have with Feleciano).

I think they scared the traditional contenders away from the superstar free agents, while other teams felt like they could finally play ball with their money.

BLB News: Draft Pool Revealed: Brewers League Baseball divulged the 2015 list of eligible draftees today. It got little play in BNN coverage and why should it? Most players drafted in thirty days won't be on a big league club for years, if at all. Some will languish listlessly at the minor league level. Others will suffer a series of misfortunes, never quite making their mark, but always wowing scouts with their potential. And yet, some lucky team will draw a needle out of a haystack, send him off to the minors and forget about him for a while, only to realize they've got a Hall of Famer on their hands.

At any rate, teams now have thirty days to scout the draft pool prior to the draft. The Transactions page also gets a new section dedicated to the pool.

The top players available (in no particular order) seem to be:
        1. T.J. Scott, 19 year-old left fielder out of college.
        2. Angelo Lujan, 20 year-old starting pitcher out of college.
        3. Jayden Jones, 20 year-old starting pitcher out of college.
        4. Robby O'Neal, 17 year-old catcher out of high-school.
        5. Jimmy Bires, 20 year-old starting pitcher out of college.
        6. Dusty Lingo, 16 year-old third baseman out of high-school.
        7. Dave Kauffman, 20 year-old starting pitcher out of college.
        8. Joey Long, 20 year-old starting pitcher out of college.
        9. Erik Upton, 20 year-old left fielder out of college.
        10. Jimmy Farrell, 20 year-old right fielder out of college.

Dallas Loses Mojica for 6 Months: Rogelio Mojica could soon be placed on the disabled list. The Dallas right fielder told reporters that he expects to be "out of commission" for 6 months because of a fractured elbow. He hasn't played since 04/11/2015 and, he said, he's "itchin' to get back out there."

To date, Mojica has collected 6 hits for a .316 average. He has posted no home runs, scored 1 runs and driven in 3 runs.

BNN Stats: Active Career Batting Leaders: So, who is the active leader in the Brewers League Baseball in career total bases?

        Antonio Cardenas, -, 4039
        Hector Feliciano, MOR, 3955
        Roberto Goto, TOR, 3870
        Sonny Marshburn, -, 3784
        Steve Suarez, MAI, 3781

Not even close to last year...still some good talent. Good years and bad years...just like every other league.

True. Not so tactical to trade young players for mid round picks after looking at this class. It used to be anything past Rd 3 was rubbish for me. Last year was an anomaly.

I think you'll find some value here in round 3 at first glance.

They come from the draft. 1st Rd picks usually make it...2nd/3rd round are decent then a sprinkle from later rounds. Also some guys just blow up out of nowhere.

You can look on the utility at past drafts and see how they stack up. Last year was nuts...my 10th Rd auto picked CF looks decent. I have a catcher from the 3rd round who my scout thinks is a superstar.

                            That's very good, thanks Boss.

Shall I guess that the missing picks are players without BLB history, or retired? Or what?
