I think shortstop or center field. They play everyday. Defense can make a huge impact. Truly great players are at such a premium at those positions.

If I could have any player for the last ten years, I think I'd take Lona.

Building a team from the inside out is a good strategy so ill go with SS of CF. If I had to choose one, it would be CF.

It's pretty vague but I'd go Pitcher. I love a good ole dominant pitching staff

A staff as a whole is great but if its only one superstar, he only takes the field once every five games.

                      So true.
My team is very weak up the middle.
Only Jimmy Douglas is a premier player at one of those positions.

I need to get a top-end SS and CF.
Antonio Ontiveros is a decent CFer, but his true position is LF and he's incredibly inconsistent with both his bat and glove.
According to his trends, he should have a great season next year, haha.

BTW, is it truly possible to have a player learn a new position and get a rating above 2 or 3?
I've never seen a player get anything greater than one point above where they started.

Yes but positions like catcher, shortstop and Centerfield are much harder to improve on. I believe it's a combination of existing defensive ability, work ethic and some hidden rating that no one knows outside of hoping it's a good one.

I've turned some shortstops into great defensive third basemen. I've seen corner outfielders gain the ability to manage a good Centerfield. But the guy already has to be a good fielder elsewhere.

SS: Lona - Herrington - Nelson
CF: Gray - Stuart - Kun

Yup. Two Millers. Kun's all over the CF leaderboard offensively, as is Herrington. Stirring the pot.
