  • Question of the Day (Running Thread)

Let's try and get some more daily activity. The writing has picked up a bit, but I figure we can do more with an old idea. The rules are simple...

Ask a question for the day to your fellow GMs. If there's no question for that day, put one out there. We will keep it in this running thread.

You can take any franchise over right now and inherit everything from their name and logo to coaches to minor league system to budget. The only change is you at the top. Which do you claim and why?

    Wilmington.

I return to the old logo and make that franchise the most exciting tiny market team professional sports has ever seen south of the Maine border.

Pittsburgh! Would love to try a boombing kind of baseball instead of pitching + defense culture we have here in Dallas!

Morgantown. The quest for their first playoff appearance is intriguing (I don't think they have been to the playoffs?).

          Dallas.

I'd like to get a chance to build a team in a pitcher's park.

I like the way the team grinds out wins despite injuries to the roster. Always liked scrapy ball clubs.

Morgantown was my choice when I thought of the question. Get them a playoff appearance.

                Pawtucket.

I really like the fact that each of the clubs are named the patriots, so that from day one the players who enter the organization will be playing their brand of "Patriot" baseball.

I'm keeping my Brawlers. Davenport was just down the road from where I grew up and I've got 5 1st round picks between the next two drafts along with the #2 rated minor league system. Lots to look forward to and I kind of enjoy the building process, though those turds in Carolina ruined my first effort at building a champion.

Thats why the old logo is still included in the current jersey. Its a classic!
