The Gettysburg Glory served as Maine's A-ball club since the 1981 season. They participated in Bush League playoff competition six times, including a 2010 Herbert League pennant.
The franchise's move to Barre, VT represents the colocation of the entire organization in New England for the first time since the Lovell Lakes moved from Maine to Pennsylvania following the 1980 campaign.

Barre Gray inspired the new club's granite-textured logo and uniforms.
The nickname also pays homage to the Homestead Grays of the Negro Leagues.
Known as the Granite Center of the World, Barre boasts a population of 9,052 as of the 2010 census.
More meaningfully, however, the Barre Micropolitan area contains 59,564 residents, the third-most in Vermont.
State capital and sister city Montpelier sits a mere ten miles northwest. A team representative suggested marketing and sales efforts would include a strong campaign in Montpelier as well.
The Grays become the town's only pro sports club and the first one since the Vermont Frost Heaves pro basketball team folded two years ago.
