    Peoria Roosters (A) - Had their own Ace!

    SP Tom Hentz, won the "The Herbert Outsanding Pitcher Award in 2012" as an undrafted FA coming from LSU had a marvellous year in the lowest Minor League! A giant in the mountain with his 1.98 m and 92 Kg, Tom played 23 games, with a 13-4 balance, 143.0 Innings, collecting 158 K and allowing only 36 runs and 6 HR. The 21 Year old man displayed great pitching with 6 throwing different styles making him unpredictable. "I am working really hard in all my stuff since I was a youngster, to have a lot variations throwing the rock and this first price is the culmination of all of that hard work" When Tom was asked about a possible promotion he threw the ball just to the catchers glove and said "Sharkn20 is a Rookie manager and we don´t really now what will be the new approach for our organization, hopefully I will have my chance to go to AA and grow" " I am playing better every year trying to make me a name in this organization, he will notice about my performance"

    Congratulations Tom! Enjoy your Trophy and your off-season! You deserve a good rest!

    Tom was signed by Denver in December of 2011, then released and signed a Minor League Contract with the Snappers in April of 2012. He won the June Herbert Pitcher Award in 2012.

      2B Micah McMillen ranks 65th in the Top Prospects list with a 8 D# and hitting .261 in AAA prior to the development in his ratings, he´s also a great base runner, let´s see how he goes into the ST

      SP Dusty Orbon is ranked 72nd right now in the TPL, with a 5/6/5 potential and 3 5/+5 Pitches see how he plays this year again in A, if he develops a little bit more he will go to AA! He´s right now our best pitcher for AA but I don´t want to rush his development and make him unhappy.

      To finish SS Ian Moore, former 1st Round seems to be more happy now and is #124 in the Top Prospect list, he evolved to 7 D# and 4/4/3/4/6 who set him as a very reliable in AA, he was hitting really nice in the play-offs last year in this division, so hopefully he will start to batting + deffending great from the beggining to take off soon in his rating and be promoted to AAA again waiting for his BLB debut... He must be our future SS, we are just waiting for him to develop as we expect, our Legendary AA Hitting Coach will help for sure for this to happen

        29th April 2013

        Pitcher of the Week

        SP Oscar Angulo
        lost his two starts but at least had an ERA of 2.70 allowing only 1 HR and 4 Runs, while Striking out 9 trying to keep the score close, however our batters did nothing in those games. Angulo is on pace to recover from an horrendous start.

        Hitter of the week

        RF Rogelio Mojica played vines baseball
        with a .429 on 14 AB, hitting 6 with 1 double, 1 RBI and having 1 BB, however he got 2 SO

        Wet Bat of the Week / Best D# player of the week

        CF Tommy Briggs only connected .130
        and got 11 SO in 23 AB, struck only 3 and was playing that bad during the week that one Sunday Pittsburgh´s Syvertsen threw a ball straight away to him to see if he wakes-up, Briggs didn´t avoid that hit of course, maybe could go to the optician and see what´s going on.

        However Briggs is on the BLB because of his globe and putted out 37 out of 37 balls with +3.1 ZR, showing off his speed and eye-globe coordination.

        Meanwhile, somewhere in the minors...

        SP Robby Rodriguez (AAA) continues his quest towards the BLB with 2 victories this week, Robby threw 17 Innings with 11 K, allowing only 2 solo Home Runs during his 2 blowouts victories. I really like this guy and is fully developed, he wasn´t strong in the ST and that´s the reason why we had to find a #5 SP in the market. But with this showing he´ll hit the BLB as soon as one of our pitchers goes down.

        SP Joey Espinoza + SP Dusty Orbon (A) were thriving this week in their 3 combined Ws. Both guys are pushing hard to get promoted to AA this year, specially the Mexican International Free Agent who collected a No-Hitter during the 6-0 Blowout against Maine´s Barre Grays.

        With only one more week of elegibility y RF Joeddy (A) had a monster week recovering from his two first weeks, and now he changed my vision from kicking him out of the house or promoting to AA by June, he has to continue hitting like this .429 with 4 doubles and 4 RBI combined with 5 R and 3 Stolen bases. Speaking about young talents 1B 21 Year old Jerrod Newer blasted .419 in 31 AB with 2 homes and 14 RBIs to get the AA POW. The last year´s 9th round pick is on fire this starting of the season and his potential is getting better, that´s nice to see.

          April 2013 (6-15)Really rough month for the Snappers as we seem very rusty coming back from the Winter... Our stars are not bating, our pitchers are throwin rubbish and our D# is very good, well almost very good.

          Pitcher of the Month

          CL Reynaldo Jimenez
          The only good thing that we can highlight this month is our Closer, the best in the BLB posted a 1.08 ERA with 2Wins and 4 saves, basically all our wins came from his arm, 15 K and 16.1 K/9 say enough.

          Hitter of the Month

          RF Rogelio Mojica
          was good, in fact was really good, despite his 10 SO and 2 CS. Mojica connected 17 H with 3 2B and drove 7 RBI, crossed the plate 4 times and got 3 BB. His shared playing time formula with our young RF is paying off as Mojica is playing his ass off in the field

          Wet Bat of the Month

          SS Ron Miller
          In 77 AB, Ron was struck out 32 times and only connected 11 balls for a .147 avg, at least he stole 1 base. With Ian Moore growing quick, probably Miller is facing his last year as a Snapper.

          Best D# player of the month

          CF Tommy Briggs
          as we said Tommy is the BLB because of his globe and putted out 51 out of 51 balls with +4.8 ZR, showing off his speed and eye-globe coordination, he´s pushing himself within the Top D# players of the league and for good Briggs started to connect some balls down there for a .235 avg, maybe he´ve something left in the tank yet.

          Meanwhile, somewhere in the minors... (April edition)

          SP Robby Rodriguez, 26 Years, AAA, starting the peak of his career Robby posted an amazing 1.54 ERA with 3 w and 1 L, his 7.0 K/9 and 32 Ks with only 4 HR allowed in 41 Innings shows how good this guy is, I think this is what you call here a AAAA player, he´ll be call up as soon as one of our starters get injured to see what he has inside. I am fully involved with this guy.

          SS Ian Moore + CF Frank Heard, 22 and 21 Years respectively, AA, The first picks in 2011 and 2012 are playing great this year in Frisco, they´re batting solid, defending well and running bases, I would say they will short out the middle field for us for years to come.

                Snapper´s Farm Quick Edition

                As the BLB Team in Dallas still struggling there is reason for hope in Dallas as the farms are developing good players and was upgraded to the 15th better Minor League system after the last April´s update.

                Sharkn20 is discussing with his assistants right now what to do with the best players in the farm right now, is it time to move them up? 1/4 of the season has gone in the minors already and the question is simple... Wait for the new rookies to step into the field, or move them up to work-out with better coaches and a more competitive enviroment??

                Pitchers
                SP Robby Rodriguez --> Shall he start as a bull-pen arm in the BLB?
                SP Joey Espinoza żA-->AA?
                MR Danny Dukes żA-->AA?

                Batters
                SS Ian Moore żAA-->AAA?
                CF Frank Heard żAA-->AAA?
                SS Jamie Frazier żA-->AA?
                LF Gabe Jackson żA-->AA?
                CF Etiene Cote żA-->AA?

                  Minor League All-Stars

                  Despite the lack of competitiveness of the BLB Team, Dallas has a great minor league system right now which is starting to pay his first dividends! These are the All-stars selected in the Three minor league´s levels.

                  Peoria Roosters (A)

                  SP Jimmy Madel --> 3.57 ERA, 5 HRs allowed in 68 Innings and a WAR of 1.4
                  SS Jamie Frazier -> .283 AVG / .377 OBP / .834 OPS / 132 OPS+, 2.9 WAR +13 ZR

                  Frisco Beavers (AA)

                  SP Hidefumi Kuwata --> 2.98 ERA, 5 HRs allowed in 66.1 Innings and a WAR of 1.2
                  C Izzy Galvan --> .323 AVG / .419 OBP / .983 OPS / 184 OPS+, 3.3 WAR +4.4 ZR

                    2014 is Oficially underway and the Snappers shooted the first head after a disastrous last´s year record. After just one Season the Manager Frank Schooley was released, "We want to make an statement in the upcoming season, nobody is safe, from the Staff to the dog house players, if you want to be a Shark, you have to perform" CEO Sharkn20 said after the new was posted in the Team´s Website.

                    Rookie Manager Florinio Aragundi will take over, after no BLB experience at all, Sharkn20 was questioned by his choice, "That´s the time to start over in Dallas and nothing better that a fresh Manager that will give everything he has inside to make this team competitive on the field, He has a special touch with the Veterans and can´t be better teaching Hitting + Fielding, just what we need with the new players coming from the minors"

                    Hopefully Aragundi will finish his 5 Year contract that he just signed for a $1.250.000 per season, if not we know where he will be next year.

                      With a new logo at the Top of the Magazine, new uniforms and new faces, Dallas is in "finalizing re-building process" and will soon start to compete.

                      Here are a few movements that we had from the 8th to the 15th of December.

                      Trades

                      * Arrived from Death Valley SP Tyler Clarke
                      * Departure LF Dave Malden

                      Great trade for the Sharks here, Clarke is entering in his prime and is ready to full go in Dallas, he´s a Fly-Ball Pitcher who should be cover by our tall walls. Dave Malden was a former 3rd Round pick coming out of College who will make the BLB at some point, however we will be cover for the next years with Rosema / Martin.

                      * Arrived 1B Tony Jimenez from Baltimore
                      * Departure 7th Round pick

                      With really good numbers in AAA, this lead-off left batter player will get a chance in ST to see what he has inside, .282 / .355 / .448 / .802 / 2.8 WAR are good numbers for his first year in the Top Minors division and a 7th Round Pick won´t hurt us. Let´s take this flyer, he also is an above average Defender on 1B and LF.

                      Free Agency

                      ****** Breaking News *******

                      * 1B / 2B Danny Romero signs with the Dallas Sharks, "I´m very excited to be a part of this re-tooled organization, somebody out there told me that Sharkn20 is a very serious GM and will have a great future in this league, I just can´t miss that"

                      28 Years old Romero signed a 4 Year Tender with the last one as a Vesting Option for a total value of $ 40M. "The money was outsanding, don´t get me wrong the money that Pat once put on the table for me was really nice too, I´ve plenty money in my bank account but I just love the game, and this public is exciting, they´re very happy with me, were a lot of happy faces out of the stadium cheering whilst I was signing my new contract"

                      Romero has a +76.5 Career defending 2B, +2.2 Career defending 1B, a career average of .277 / .345 / .397 / .742 / +27.3 WAR

                      * SP Tony Hinojosa, 27 Years from the Syracusa Slammers (AAA)

                      After spending 3 years in the AAA Level, Hinojosa was finally promoted to AAA and he collected an amazing 11.4 K/9 in just 6.1 IP in his 6 games relieving. Hi might have something inside and we really want to Test him this year, we really need help in the middle of our bullpen and he might be the guy.
                      Miami Sharks (BLB)
                      * BLB Champions --> 2017, 2020.

                            LF Alex Gomez lands in Dallas

                            A busy off-season brings one of the old stars in the league to the Sharks´ pool. Gomez is not a teenager looking for his first opportunity, is a veteran player with a lot upside and still has the hability to draw hits and walks. Last 2 years with Philadelphia were really nice for him batting over a .315 and posting and OPS over .800. With a correct use due his fragility he can be very useful playing in the Corners of the OF to bring some victories for the Sharks
