(Wilmington) - In a stunning mid-season move never before seen in the BLB the Seattle Reign are now the 2nd professional team to break northwest hearts in the last five years. With the recent passing of their GM and stepping down by their manager the Reign are on the move back to where it all started...Wilmington.
As team buses rolled into town Monday the club frantically prepared for their home opener at 10:05 PM EST against the Baltimore Bulldogs. Tickets are already being sold at a frantic pace as fans will once again be flocking to Wildcat Stadium.
The Wildcats went to the playoffs six times in the first twelve seasons of the BLB and won the Brewmaster's in 1982. Since that run though the team has failed to make the postseason and has come upon hard times. With new scenery comes new hope though as Wilmington currently has the #5 rated minor league system and is on their way to securing a top pick in next years prospect rich draft.
