Not a BLB debut but C Oscar Puga had a double and a single in his A level first game. Our first ever international discovery had to be called up to support the Jellifishes when we had no depth at the position.

There have been a lot of rookie debuts in Washington over the past couple seasons. We'll regularly start a lineup that doesn't feature a single starter over the age of 25.
But, I think the only rookie that will get major playing time to start the season is Kaden "Crunchy" Gaston. I traded up a few spots to pick Gaston in the 3rd round of the 2027 draft and he's hit really well in the minors at every level. It's not a true "debut" since he did see some game action to end last season, but Gaston is still a rookie. In 56 plate appearances at the BLB level, he hit .346 with a 1.008 OPS. Gaston is a switch-hitting catcher who will primarily see time as a DH and as back-up to fellow switch hitter Josh Allen. He's the #27 prospect in the league.
If he's still a rookie, then CJ Verwey is also on the team. He's actually gotten a handful of innings over the last two seasons, but has only 67 days of service time, so I'm not sure if he counts. "Wild Man" Verwey is a left-handed specialist in my bullpen. He might only be on the team until BJ Johnson gets healthy, but my scout and OSA are pretty high on his ability, particularly against lefty batters. He'll have a chance to play his way into a bigger role.

It's a real shame.

Washington is calling up 2B Dave "Cabfare" Davidson. http://www.simgamingnetwork.com/blb/...yer_11277.html
He was the 17th pick in the 2027 draft and currently ranks as the #5 prospect in the BLB. He hit well in high school, hit well in the minors and if we're lucky he might hit well in the BLB too.
Our regular starting 2B is out for 4 months, so somebody has to take the field at that spot. Might as well give him a shot.Washington Bats, 2013-

Seattle is calling up RHRP Dave Martinez from the minors this week. The 25-year-old has battle injuries his entire playing career but if he can reach his potentials my scout (and OSA) think he is closer quality.
He's Puerto Rican, he went to LSU and he "rolls with the punches."

1B Jamie Henderson made a splash in his debut going 2-5 with both knocks being dingers.
Henderson would suck the next 3 games batting a combined 2-13, but the Exports believe the former 3rd rounder could become an every day BLBer with plus power.
Last season, Henderson hit 29 HR's in 498 combined at-bats between AA, AAA and a short 9-game stint with the big club,Last edited by Hank; 03-03-2019, 08:21 AM.Brewers League Baseball

Phoenix is calling up 23-year-old SP Pat Kubacki from AAA Silver City this week. He will slide into the starting rotation in place of struggling Dave Lloyd (0-4, 6.39 ERA).
The hard throwing right hand was the 1st pick of the 2028 draft. He spent last season in AAA while having a late season call up for 4 games which he went 3-1, 7.29 ERA in 4 starts. This year he is off to a great start to the AAA with 3-1, 2.25 ERA in 6 starts.
Pat was recently named the #19 prospect in all of BLB.

Phoenix has been busy shuffling around prospects and after careful deliberation, it has been determined 2B Dave Cohen has just been too good NOT to put up to the Big Leagues. After being picked first in the 2029 draft, he has absolutely crushed the competition in AAA Silver City. He's started the season by batting .347-4 HR-17 RBI, while only 22-years-old.
To make room for 2B Dave Cohen, Phoenix is demoting 2B Dave Clancy. While batting well, there are reports that he isn't playing to his full potential. Management is hoping that a stint in Silver City will help turn him around. He was originally acquired by Phoenix in the blockbuster trade of Jamie Stone to the Indy Racers.
