Carolina vs Davenport
Got to love the rise of the Bock teams. Once Carolina trades with divisional foe WC they simply hit another level. Clearly the best team in the BLB this season. With that, here comes the playoffs. Davenport in its own right features and excellent 1-2-3 punch in its rotations and no injuries (Hernandez back). The shortened rotation helps Davenport, but I think they fall short.
Carolina over Davenport 4-2.
Philly versus Death Valley
Philly lost some players to free agency this offseason, but picking up Gibson was a godsend in free agency. 1-3 in the rotation can fight with anyone though the 4 spot not so secure. Death Valley seemed a perfect fit for a upset with team continuity and players right in they're prime (circa WC 2008) then final week lost a nice closer in Gruell and IMO the teams #3 starter. This group feels snake bitten.
