  • Now it is stuck on Denver with auto pick from list. His list is probably empty...

Looks like we will finish in time for tomorrow's sim though. Washington is loaded with 80 players in the utility and set to draft from list.

Yeah, but Auto from list isn't the same selection as Auto draft. Carlos gets his full time.

Oh I know. I was just giving a heads up...

        Last three picks in Washington:

5.23 - SP Jarod Lewis - OSA 6-6-5, scout 5-6-7, almost perfect intangibles, third pitch is a "3" potential. He's fragile and never pitched an inning in HS. 17-years-old.

6.23 - SP Alex Vallejos - OSA 5-5-6, scout 5-5-5, durable. Poor intangibles but pitched OK in parts of two seasons at Miami. Still just 19-years-old.

7.23 - SP Jayden Emery - OSA 6-4-5, 5-4-2 current, 96MPH, High Work Ethic. Got a lot of help from his defense the past three seasons but his H/9 and K/9 are very impressive for a kid this late.

Washington has now drafted six starting pitchers (traded one) and one 3B. My single-A pitching has been a bunch of just filler types that will be replaced by this draft class. Hopefully it will balance out my organizational top prospect list which is currently 14 hitters and just six pitchers.

        • I picked. Stop picking on me!

I'm here and will set to auto completely when I step out later today.

          • Pawtucket really happy with its second round pick with C Hugo Paulino. We have plenty of time with him. Since the current hitting top 100 crop is so weak not going to be shocked if he lands in the top 100.

Our 3rd round pick is a classic Pawtucket pick in 3B Erik Van Benschoten. He's probably going to end up at 1B though we will give him every shot at 3B since he's so young. We have this philosophy of drafting high POT power hitters then hope for a bump in contact (3rd rounders Jon Montalvo, Tood Ribbideau come to mind) Seems to be our team DNA.

Next few picks were just for depth, but our wildcard is 5th rounder P Jayden Brown. Scout has him 5-5-5, just took a velocity bump and overall has some nice traits. Lefty pitcher so we'll need some lucky dice rolls or else or home will kill him.

                  • Once those list picks go in, I'll make my back-to-back picks and we should be done.

                      • I apparently selected Santa in the draft. A catcher who can't catch, with low work ethic and has never been on the baseball field at Clemson. Awesome.
