Brewmaster's Cup Championship to Carolina: There is great joy in Carolina today after the Tobs thumped Maine 7-2 to cop the 2011 Brewers League Baseball Brewmaster's Cup Championship. They defeated the Guides 4-3 to take the series.
This was the 2nd time Carolina has garnered the league title. During the regular season the Tobs chalked up a 112-50 mark and finished in first place in the Import League Bock Division.
Carolina Tobs Win 'Fall Classic' and Get Invited to the White House: Besides winning the big game and all of the accolades that go along with it, the President of the United States has already let the team know that he would like them to visit later this year. When speaking of the call he received from the POTUS, Tobs Manager, Bao Cahn, seemed a bit flustered. "He told us that he wants to meet the boys that won the Series and asked if we would come to the White House. I told him, "Hell Yes...er-Yes Sir, Mr President". While the date has not yet been decided, we will be reporting upon the exciting event.
