Personally it appears the talent level has shifted a bit to the DL. (Not like the 90s when Virgina reigned and many IL teams felt no choice but acquire talent) but the past New Brew awards you can tell the difference.
Ale
Maine 102-60
Pawtucket 95-67(WC)
Pittsburgh 93-69 (WC)
Hartford 78-84
Strange huh? Like Philly, Pawtucket takes a step back. Every team lately has had a Cup hang over and this won't be any different. Last year was a complete perfect world including an insane run against Hartford. Why Maine, still the best pitching in the DL and they can't hit that bad again. PiTT will hit, but something tells me the pitching lets them down. Hartford should ask for a transfer to the Lager.
Lager
LA Dino's 89-73
Toronto 87-75
New York 78-84
New Orleans 55-107
Toronto's best chance yet to take down LA. 2 solid lefties and enough power hitting might get it done. Or....LA starts below .500 then pulls away in Sept as always. Either way, only one Lager opponent allowed. New York kind of in a should we go for it or blow it up stage and we all know what NO is doing.
Pilsner
Dallas 97-65
Denver 92-70
Indy 79-83
Syracuse 71-91
Dallas added some more hitting and more importantly better defense. The OF defense or lack there of concerns me in a new version that values defense so Denver gets an off year. Indy might be a surprise team with all these vets they added and Syracuse begins trickling in theyre kids, just won't be enough yet.
