You're right on. It's a personal choice depending partially on your organization.

If you think you can develop that 17 year old young arm, go for it!

Still, you probably have a better chance of getting something useful from an older prospect.

But then, the upside may not be the same.

      Amazing....

In the budget for free agents I have now $ 40 Millions to spend, is it included the players who have the option of arbitration and $13 million 1 year contract, or if I sign one I will have $27 millions left?

Yes, I think it includes options and expected arbitration figures.

Yeah 2nd in the WAR Team during the off-season. Nothing bad! A lot rubbish in this Phillies... I also signed a good SP for a lot money but seems that I can afford it cause I had $16Millions more to spend which never was used... Now is time to Draft, and try to do it properly. Some 4 stars potential in the top of the draft with a marvelous C, CF, SP and 3B... Trying to find out who is better for my #2 Overall pick. Uh I also selected 2 players in the 5 year rule Draft who are startings straight away and a couple of youngers from the minors who are collecting great Defensive stats...

Unless you enable it in the settings, you won't be able to.

MLB doesn't allow trading of draft picks so it's likely disabled by default.

                      More questions guys!

Let's go with the management of the minors and drafting.

                      1) Player development budget. It means the money that you want to spend developing your youngsters?? How much is the recommended amount?? I see that my max for this year is $45 Millions cause I can't set an higher number.

                      2) This minor league system ranks 11th out of 30 Overall. Two seasons ago when I took over the team, was ranked 5th. So my question is... How is that evaluated? Depending in how good are you drafting and getting FAs?? And using the #5 rule Draft??

I realized how important is to grow your players cause I started to really have impact players growing and coming out from nowhere with good coaches and playing time in the minors.

You are correct about what it means.

As for how much to allocate ... no fucking idea. There's no consensus.

Yeah, it's based on the talent in your minor league system.

How much influence have the trainers on the team's performance?? I have better team than in the last two years and we are performing really bad. It's true that I gave preference to the young players but the thing is that actually they are better than the oldies... Can't understand why this is happening! ! Our owner is Angry at the moment and we are 16-26 with play off expectations... :(

Not sure if you mean trainers or coaches. Either way, hard to quantify. I usually try to get among the best I can because it's not much more expense than getting average guys.

Yep, is the only thing that I really changed since last year. So I don't know how much it's affecting my team... But we are struggling :(

Another question, how affects the menu with the options, rebuild, normal or Win now! In finances under the space that you set the price? I also changed from Rebuild to Normal...
