DL has some new teams involved this season:
Ale
Not playing out the way I expected. Thought this division would be tight come Sept , but instead all 3 teams bolted out of the gate. Paw seems to have the edge against Pitt, Maine is out pitching Paw while Maine/ Pitt appear even. Anyone of these teams can win the Ale. Going with Maine due too superior pitching, but there's a very good chance all 3 might see the postseason. Hartford in some retool mode. Just playing in the wrong division.
Lager
Yuk. I don't even want to pick one, but that's not right. I'll say exclude New Orleans though they only sit 4 games back. Just not a good team right now. This leaves 3 teams. Toronto has an ace, good hitting. I'm going to say they pull up short, but not by much. New York attempting to be the first team to "walk" they're way into the playoffs, but I'll peg them for 3rd. Guess this leaves the rapidly aging Dino's to win by default. Lona is having just a crazy season and still fronts the best 1-3 starters in this division.
Pilsner
Of all the division's I'd say this has been the greatest surprise. I expected Denver to reign for least 3 years, but the still dangerous lineup seems a bit ordinary to start and don't even get me started about the pitching. Even though it felt like Dallas was retooling I think they wins this , but I still expect Denver to make a charge and make it interesting. Syracuse will slide to 72-75 wins and Indy basically in Pawtucket mode.
Wilcard
So far not interesting. It's really a 3 horse race between the Ale. A Denver run is needed sooner then later (actually think it will happen) to make this at all competitive. The Lager division teams don't know what a Wilcard is.
I think the races are more interesting in the IL even if the Lager has a bit of keystone cop comedy to it.
