Again, I wouldn't bet any cash against Z's selection strategy as I am a results oriented type of dude and you can't argue with his results. But in all honesty, I just didn't see anyone outside of Fajardo or Engstrom that was worth the cost of that jump.
There is some really good talent left though. He may just see some untapped potential that I'm missing.

I only draft in the first round about every leap year so I'd take my opinion with a grain of salt.

There is one other guy I really love but he won't be around longer than another three picks.
Still, I looked and I like this draft. I'm confident I can find someone in the late first round that will contribute.
One thing I enjoy is seeing some of these guys with great college and high school numbers. Seems to me that the ratings are just hiding their talents. I can't recall so many players being dominant at those levels.Denver Bulls

There's a guy my scout thinks should go 60th in the draft and he put up an OPS over .900 in his Junior and Senior years. Plus he's an elite defender and can run with the best of them.
Yeah, if anyone wants to give me a bunch of first round picks for my late round picks, I'll take them. I'm sad I don't have my second round pick now.Last edited by Carlos; 01-27-2015, 09:15 AM.Denver Bulls

I thought about moving up but not worth it. There are some decent pitchers but nothing like days of old.
