    ***-Wildcard

    ALE

    Maine 97-65
    Pitt 93-69***
    Paw 83-79
    Hart 78-84

Things continue to get tighter in the Ale, but really see a separation between 1/2 versus 3/4. Pawtucket or Hartford needs to get off to a fast start to make any noise here, but slim chance does exist for the 2nd wildcard spot. Maine & Pitt do they're annual who gets the division or 1st wildcard spot.

    Lager

    Tor 90-72
    LA 84-78***
    NY 76-86
    NO 50-112

LA seems overdue for a retool. This might be the year. Toronto finally gets in with enough improvements from last years terrible pitching. Not seeing anything big from NY or NO.

    Pilsner

    Den 101-61
    Dal 82-80
    Syr 74-88
    Ind 70-92

Denver should have a iron grip on this for awhile with Dallas in semi re-tool mode and full rebuilds from the rest of the Pilsner. Dallas.....pulls short again. Sorry:((

Should be a great race for the 2nd wildcard spot. Think LA sneaks one last playoff birth in the end.

There's a chance Pawtucket's youngsters dominate, allowing them to make a lot of noise in the Ale, possibly even stealing the division.

Though I wouldn't bet on it, I've seen crazier things happen in this league.

I think were really are a year away from being any major threat. This also assumes SP-Mcdade is ready by 2011 and its a push right now. One of these kids are going to bomb. Always happens.

What's up with Dave Piekarski being labelled a third baseman?

I tried him there every since he was in AA. Yeah, yeah he sucks. Worth a shot. He seems to have a nice arm and error rating. I was toying with the idea of guarding the lines and have Tex Watts or Orlando Saucedo cover the rest of the infield.

Think I got another idea though with Dave P and Todd R at catcher. Todd is only 25 my scout has him at 5-6-6-5-4 and just won a DWI award. Got to get him some at bats. Dave being young also might be best to ease him in.

3B seems like a seamless transition for a lot of catchers. Obiv it's a tough position to learn but I feel like 1B/3B/C all have similar character traits that would allow a young animal like Dave P to just rake whilst playing replacement level D.

Of course he may have a sore neck after a while, that is when he plays the Millers and batter after batter either strikes out or goes yicketty.

If a guy doesn't have at least '4' range, it's hard to play him at anything other than first base.

I have Piekarski had '2' range. It would be painful.

Its one month. I'm expecting a brick wall at some point. Unless SP Tom Farris is the real deal?
