  • Dunn breaks RBI Record

Just before opening pitch, T.J. Dunn sat in the dugout alone thinking of the impact his next RBI would have on the record books. "I could be mentioned with some of the greats," he said. "It's hard to ignore those emotions."

Instead, Dunn was calm and collective when he drove in single-season record breaking RBI number 154 with a single in the top of the 3rd.

The RBI broke a tie with Don Castor.

Dunn added to his total with a bases-loaded 3-run double to cap off a 8-3 Toronto win over New York.

For the season, Dunn batted .298 with 201 hits, 50 homers, 157 RBI and a .576 SLG.

Wow. Looking at his numbers it's hard not to vote him #1.

          That's very good!

I really love this league. Such an escape from the "real world".

He plays for a shitty team, but it's hard not to vote for him with these records he set. He gets my vote.

Thanks for the article Carlos and the votes guys. I have never had a player like this on our team so it's a real treat.

Hopefully he will get the Stout this year so he receives some sort of recognition for this record breaking season. He didn't get the all star vote if you remember.

He's set records in the NCAA for hits that still stands today. I was so excited drafting him but he has far exceeded my expectations.

I hope the conversion doesn't wreck him. It's a shame that we don't have pitching to keep us competitive. We had a good start for a weak division.

Will have to make some changes as always in the offseason.

Dunn holds the career records in the NCAA for batting average, hits, slugging percentage and games played. He's incredibly durable which could make for a monster career.
