      Again, apologize for the delay.

This draft class...wow. I just used the #10 and #12 picks on two players my scout "doesn't see becoming much of a hitting talent" and "no future in big leagues."

My scout was a bit higher on Sterling than that, but I feel your pain. Meh.

          Pick #10 SS Pat Wayman.

I tried moving up with umm 3 teams to move ahead of Pat and couldn't get it done. Instead a bunch of #5 maybe with some luck a #4 pitcher gets picked ahead of an 18 year old which my scout has POT 7-4-4-3-6 , OSA 6-5-6-3-6 and plays SS?

Ughhh, promise you this kid cracks the top 100.

Hate Potter's control. This can burn me hard. But with this draft, I rather take the project. He has everything else going for him. Maybe he overcomes it

Isn't every draft class getting worse and worse? We say this every year.

Is it a lack of internationals?

Is it that we need to increase the generated player amount?

Guys with low control, 4 for contact, etc are getting drafted top 10. That's terrible.

I'm sure some of these guys are developing into nicer options down the line, but something is amiss.

Why are there so many high school players who never even play an inning???

I posted this a while back in this thread. There is a lot of talent getting no HS development time.

I suggest next year we let Markus take a look at the class and tell Matt or Brad if he sees anything off, assuming the class is just as awful. Maybe Markus can shed some light.

I know the classes are supposed to be weaker at first look in 14 but we don't have enough years with these guys to know for sure if that's the case.

Last year I was able to draft a pitcher early in the 2nd round who is already in triple A and pitching well.

The class is pretty bad midway through the first. Maybe it's just a bad class.

We have had "bad classes" and then we have years where the first five drafted guys are basically top 20 players. So I don't know.

Before we go too crazy, let's give these guys some time to develop. I'm just thinking we just have to adjust to the fact that things aren't as clear as what we are normally used to over the years.

Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, IMO.

And I still think that even if the classes are bad, these players will eventually be just as good as the rest of the competition if every following class has similar ratings.

To my RL baseball guys, are drafts normally very transparent? Is there usually a big drop off in talent more like what we are seeing now vs. what we have seen in the past inOOTP?

It's tough to compare because there's six times the rounds and 2 times the minor league levels.
