I really like Robertson. Amazing velocity, scout has him 6-5-5 (OSA 6-6-6), defends his position well and has very high leadership. There is only one player I could see maybe going above him but I think Robertson is the safe, smarter pick. He should translate to a #3 in the Kodiak rotation for a decade.

Except I took him.
And I agree. I think Cali's pick is more BLB-ready, but I really like Robertson's everything. I wonder if his control is really a 5 or gets to the 6, but that's okay. And I would prefer to be sure his third pitch hits a 6 but you make do.
The rest is there. He throws hard, strikes people out, has good control and solid intangibles. Very happy.
I said before I don't think there's a clear ace in this draft, but Robertson is a solid rotation guy. If that's the best that's out there, I like having him.
I had Nishimura a little further down on my big board but he goes #8 to Pawtucket. My scout has him #9 on the draft list, 5-5-5 potential (future big leaguer, back of the rotation), OSA has 6-5-6 with an 8 potential knuckleball. He has very high leadership but low work ethic. High stamina. Good collegiate stats but does give up quite a few HRs.
#9- Carolina
#10- New York
#11- Windy City
#12- New Orleans

I hate your scout. lol.
5-5-6 for my guy. run of the mill 4/5 pitcher. Like his overall consistency again. We usually do well with pitchers like this in Pawtucket.
