If the BLB were Game of Thrones...
(Let's have some fun around here)
Pat (Washington)
Tyrion Lannister
He'll sweet talk you in trades. He'll throw stats and wisdom at you about why you should trade a draft pick and prospects for career AAA'ers he's about to release. He seemingly never dies (loses), despite whatever challenge may be facing him - budget, aging vets, no draft picks, better teams, and will almost always find someone to bail him out of a tough situation so he can win yet another title.
Jistic (Windy City)
Daenerys Targaryen
He'll "liberate" your unprotected Rule 5ers and use them against you in the name of justice. He's also been the favorite to win the BLB "Throne" the last few seasons, featuring the equivalent of Dany's dragons (best pitching staff by far, Caplan, a roster peppered with superstars) but can't seem to get himself across the Narrow Sea to the Brewmaster's Series.
Matt (Batavia)
Robb Stark
The King of the North, Matt splits time with our co-commish Brad. Even though it looks like he's in power... he's really just sharing. There was a short time where he sat on the "Throne" last season, laying waste to anything that crossed his path on the way to a remarkable season. But much like Robb, he's suffered a victory hangover and was shockingly ambushed this season... missing the playoffs.
Funclown (Pawtucket)
Ser Dontos Hollard
The drunken court jester, saved too many times to count and pretty much just a big, well intentioned dummy. That's funclown. He'll do some things right (maybe make a smart trade), then he'll do some things wrong (maybe make a dumb trade). Much like the Purple Wedding, his Happy Birthday thread is THE event of the season.
Spectre (New York)
Ser Davos Seaworth
Much like The Onion Knight, Spectre comes and he goes. Just when you finally think he's out of moves, he'll get creative and surprise you. Whether it's sneaking onions into a besieged castle (Hamilton/Keifer) to save the day, or giving the underdog Stannis (underrated SP's like Sutton etc...) his support, Spec is always in the mix to do something unexpectedly big out of nowhere.
Dave (formerly of New Orleans)
Ramsay Snow
The guy is pretty much a heartless dick, but you like him anyway for some reason.
Z (Maine)
Petyr "Littlefinger" Baelish
He's always one step ahead. He's always plotting his next move. Don't trust him for a second. Injuries, aging players, budget problems. If you blink in his division, he'll move past you in the shadows with whispery PMs soliciting trades to sabotage you. He'll trade for guys you think are done, only to see them magically pull it together and give him an edge. He'll sign that FA to the minimum or at a discount and flip him for some self serving purpose. Just when you think he's on your side, an ally, he'll trade with your mortal enemy, just because he can. Z also like titles like Baelish...GM of PHI, GM of PIT, GM of MAI...
Clay (Deceased)
Joffrey Baratheon
An oppressive, evil, power hungry menace. This incestuous leader ruled over his people by manipulating everything possible and shoving it right in your face with no repercussions for too long. Much like Joffrey at the Purple Wedding, this loathsome individual was swiftly and shockingly disposed of with tremendous efficiency.
That's a good start...feel free to add your own.
