The Millers select SP Travis Watkins from that vaunted FSU club Carlos is always raving about.

Thoughts:

- 18-5 never had an ERA above 2.96
- Won 2 chips
- Won POY in '05
- Scout says 5-6-6
- OSA says 5-6-5
- Don't like is stamina
- Not hot on his GB % either

... but hey, that's picking in the mid -to-late first round.

Oscar Sanchez (OF) from Rice University.

There were still a couple of guys left on the board that put up more gaudy college numbers than Oscar, but his work ethic, intelligence and leadership put him over the top for us. He's got very good contact potential coupled with an uncanny ability to place the ball in gaps in the defense at will. Sanchez was primarily utilized as a left fielder during his college career, but we'll probably give him some time in center field in the minors to see if he's got the drive to become a defensive presence in center field.
