The one sad trend I do see is why alll BIG MARKET teams? Seemed at first the BLB was founded on obscure cities like Pawtucket, Los Lunas, the whole state of Maine and now we seem to drifting away from that.

Why not move to Santa Fe or Tulsa? Doesn't the state of Washington have other cool cities besides "Seattle"

Not ripping Tom especially the awesome Logo (can't wait to see it on the HTML homepage). Just afraid we are leaning too close to real world. Will team names like "Yankees", "Indians" be not far behind??????

Do the Kodiaks get a cut of the TV profit? Remember our A Ball team is the Seattle Pilots.

I should say option to change name. If they want to remain then Seattle gets their team in 2007.

Need the big markets to afford these player contracts. To me that's more realistic than a small town professional baseball team having a payroll close to $100M.

It's the 2000s after all. The BLB is going mainstream.

Kind of silly to have a minor league & major league team reside on the same city.

Contracts stay pretty much flat in this league overall. Before the leveling of markets Pawtucket was one of the biggest markets. "Realism" is what historical leagues are for.

Well hopefully the Morgantowns, Batavia's and Pawtuckets of the world stay where they are at.

Agreed. But we've been there since 1978. Not moving now.
