Well in Baltimore, the impending departure of Jacapino makes way for the promotion of....

-We know California is one of the best drafters around so glad to have this guy somehow make it to our system. Another case of Baltimore promoting too early? Maybe, but I've had success with AA promotions before and I look ....must've fallen asleep.
However, I think a throwaway year like this one is as good as any for me to throw him in the fire and not feel like I'm losing anything. The kid's got a killer curve plus a matching set of a fastball and changeup that should be able to sit down pretty much anyone once he gets his feet wet at the top level.
As usual though with early promotions, we can only hope his control makes it to be a starter. I'm thinking it will.
