Took two OFs my scout likes in Tony Garza and Joel Pilatos. There were some pen arms left I liked, but I figured we'd roll the dice late in the round.

Liked DVS's pick P Chris Navarrette. Even if he doesn't develop a third pitch I think he can continue to be a good starter. Nice ground ball percentage too.

Just move him off of C. My scout has him as 5-6-5-4-5 if it makes you feel better (My scout has been hitting picks past few seasons)

I just didn't get a chance to pick anyone. At least the utility picked someone decent. I just usually hate drafting catchers early. They take too long to develop and they confuse me.

Looking for a late 3rd round pick if the guy I want is still there.

Will send a future 3rd (remember no sandwich picks next year).

Picked up 21 year old Dominican reliever, Vic Vela.

OSA has him as the #7 reliever (by relative potential) in the draft. My scout REALLY likes him (#6 reliever) and has him slated as a rally stopper. His stats bear out that he should at least meet the 6-4-5 potential that OSA has him as and who knows, maybe he'll hit that 8-4-7 level that my scout feels he can get.

Ok maybe not, but a GM can hope.
