Jerry Chase is quietly rising up the closer ranks in the BLB. Last season Chase made his first All-Star appearance, this season he not only repeated as an All-Star, he shattered his previous season's numbers. His ranks amongst IL relievers, 1st in ERA, 2nd in Saves, 2nd in VORP, 1st in WHIP, speak for themselves. While winning by a large margin, there were two others receiving plenty of votes, including a handful of firsts. Davenport's Gordinho, like Chase, is young and on the rise. He made his first All-Star appearance and struck out 102 in 78 innings. Olivo, who has been rumored to be on the move this off-season, had a down year by his standards, but still played well enough to finish 3rd in the voting.
