Sandoval is upset over his performance? These sprites never fail to amaze me.

I fear Dane Browning has lost his touch. How convenient right after signing a five-year deal. But, that's the last of those deals we'll ever see in Denver again.

I've not had this number of casualties in a league set to normal injuries.

Took care of the Lager with a 5-2 sim. The team is starting to hit its stride and this is with Joe Rojas being ice cold this month. When he starts hitting, this offense is going to take off.

McEvoy had a beautiful game against New Orleans and hopefully will keep it up the rest of the year.

              3-4 sim. Sounds about right.

How about Ed Colville and Nate Taylor though, eh?

Good sim. And we signed Opio for only $2.5M. Another bat for the stretch run.

That was a disappointing game. McMahon was somehow 3-0 prior to that game thanks mostly to outstanding run support. Then he finally goes out and pitches a gem and we can't get him one run. Great performance by McEvoy though - sent us down in order in six of the nine innings and we didn't advance a runner past first base.

Last season's failure has you believing that April is the stretch run in the season?

Gotta say, I usually just jest with you, but this has me puzzled, Z.

                        6-1 (14-5 overall)

                        3-0 vs. Cali
                        3-1 vs. Baltimore

                        - A good week for the hitters as 6 regular players posted .400+ OBP and Jarava posted a .500 OBP. The kid has done nothing but grow up fast since hitting the starting lineup two years ago and is probably the best hitter we've ever drafted. He has no power but he's from Brazil and is currently dating a model so we won't hold it against him.

                        - The top of the line SP's continue to struggle as Gonzalez didn't even make it out of the 3rd in the loss vs. Baltimore and Castre got shelled his 1st start of the week. During the second against Baltimore he went 7 and gave up 2 ER while striking out 5 so maybe he found his groove.

                        - Athey has a blister and won't be able to pitch for 2-3 weeks. We shuffled last years starter Doug Little back to the #6 spot and brought up Rosalio from AAA. We thought about bringing up Tanner again but with 7 SP's we don't need another one...hopefully he will continue to improve in AAA.

                        - C Pat May hit .348 with 1 HR this week and continues to drive us crazy. Keep hitting the damn ball kid! His golden arm is what keeps him playing though as he constantly guns down base runners. We got smoked against Virginia by having Hidrogo and his little girl arm behind the plate. Eventually we want to bring up AAA catcher Tucker but we want to see if he get's a little more patient at the plate. Him and Tanner are the only young guys we have waiting in the wings so why rush them.

                        - Next up...2 @ Philly, 2 vs. Cali, 3 @ Los Alamos. Philly has been a pain in our side since day one and we need to find a way to beat these guys. The match-up vs. L.A. is intriguing since they have the top record in the entire league.

With our new rotation we are pitching two good pitchers vs. Philly, our 3rd tier against Cali, and Gonzales, Castre, and Sasaki against L.A. We're looking forward to seeing how we do.

We're 10-9, though we have already found our usual spot in the cellar. Looks like we'll be holding that position down for the next few months. Good to see a couple of the young guys look ok.
