The other thing that could hurt... you know me.... Nickname vs No Nickname.... just sayin'...
I voted for both as well, but I found Cabezas the harder decision to make for precisely the reasoning explained above. Cleary struck fear into the hearts of many a batter during the years when Maine lorded over this league and I remember him well.

And yes, I voted for Latham and Stiver again. I'm glad everyone seems to have come to their senses on at least one of those players.

Latham has reached the 20 vote minimum and has been inducted into the HOF. Still 4 votes outstanding, but he's already ganered enough votes to join Pete Kellum and Joe Chavaragga in the hallowed halls.

I'm voting today. Stop harassing me!

And congrats to Latham. He deserves it. I'll still cast my vote for him.

A little over 24 hours remaining before the voting's closed. Still need 4 team's ballots. If you don't vote you're letting the terrorists win. That's on you.

If Alan (Maine) doesn't vote... I'm not really upset. Hard to vote HOF when you're this green.

But those other 3 losers need to get on it.

As you mentioned earlier, we're probably willing to give Alan a pass this time around since he just joined, but he's more than welcome to cast his ballot if he wishes.

Is Alan aware of how to access the HoF voting utility? I know there's a login and password for it that he may have not received.

Never really made any comments on the Hall of Fame seeing that I dont have much history with the 80's players. With that.....

Stiver entered the league at 31, was an allstar first 5 years of the leagues existence included a Stout Slugger award. He didnt begin to drop off until he was 36. Bit of a suprise he is not getting more votes.

Even though he was under previous ownership I guess I feel some obligation to defend a player from the Pawtucket family.

I think it'd be awesome if some coder came up with a utility to compare a BLB'ers career to their most similar MLB counterpart(s).
