Finally we were able to sign somebody, as Brian Hanrahan will be a Brawler for the next two years. Hopefully he has something left in the tank, I think the IL will be kind to him. We plan to use him in the middle of our rotation.

You may climb dangerously close to .500....

        Speaking of Hanrahan...

At 6'6" 227... is he "Giant Killer" as in he kills Giants.... or is he a Giant who kills?

Easily the most boring we've ever had (at least since 1984).

I love the Parongoa signing in CAR. The guy had better offers on the table (well, he had at least 1 better offer on the table ) and he said, "You know what? I'm 39, winding down and just looking for a place I'm comfortable in. I'm going home."

It'll be good to see him in a Tobs' uni again.

I'd like to think its the latter, especially since we don't have too many "Giants" in our division.

I'm happy to get him. Not expecting the world given his age, but if he can be a decent starter it would be an upgrade for us.

I missed out on some of the bigger prizes who I could have really used since I wasn't able to get an export in, but hopefully my team will see some strides this year. We're probably years away from competing for anything anyway.

A player doesn't have to be signed in order to get a comp pick, do they? I was just reading the rules and didn't see that mentioned, so wasn't sure.

                            Yes, he does.

If he signs during the season, the COMP pick will be applied to next season. If he sits in Free Agency all season, the COMP goes away.

Here's a new one: Cannell went from asking for 4 years/48 (12 a year) to 4 years, 66 million (~16 a year). Haven't seen that in FA before.
