Definitely some more deals accomplished here. Veterans always moving. Couple of these guys took longer deals so we don't have to deal with them next year.

Denver took a safe approach with Zamarida. Might be too early to really offer an extension of any kind, but it's at a lower rate than he originally demanded so we'll take the risk at one year. If he hits well, then we can consider similar deals in the future.

Uh oh, the Bock is spending money. We better step our free agency game up because we just lost out on Middlebrooks and Guardamagni to division rivals.

Nice pickup Jistic! Should get your team to 80 wins this year. Good enough to win the Bock by about 7 or 8 games.

Yea, I love the move for Windy City.

            Have the money. Spend it.

It's a lot of money for an older pitcher with a bad injury history, but it's money that would be lost either way, so might as well use it on a guy that could just as easily be the best pitcher in the league next season if he stays healthy.

I fully expect an 11 month injury in spring training. But like you said, the money's not gonna do anything for us anyway. Next year the deal drops significantly and we're done.

You were rough enough on me last year. Take it easy on me this year.

One final note, this signing gives the Bock it's first top player in god knows how long. The Bock is back!

Damn you, Jistic! I'm so used to living on a budget, the thought just doesn't occur to me to go big (even when I have money). Congrats. Please pitch him against Mississippi every chance you get.
