I figured it'd be fun to track players throughout the year that are performing well above their scouted abilities.

Mine would have to be SP Godofredo Norsaganay (My scouts have him between 20-34)

    http://ootp.oldredboat.com/news/html...ayer_1706.html

    As of Sim #5 he is 3-1 with a 1.05 ERA/0.68 WHIP/.195 BABIP/35:5 K's to BB's in 6 games started so far.

    SP Ricardo Mojera

    Scouts have him between 20-40.

      No brainer for Virginia...

Mark MacAdie has decided to get reenergized at the age of 37

      .313/.377/.542 - 5 HR & 27 RBIs - Even swiped 2 bags with his old self

Batting .737 with Runners in Scoring Position

He still K's more than he walks, but he is playing really well. In fact, the only 2 games I lost this month were games he didn't start.

      To many rings to count...

Has to be Dave Beacham for me. http://ootp.oldredboat.com/news/html...player_31.html

He's had decent years, but he's 2nd in the league in RBI's right now. Leading my team in HR's and RBI's. Not exactly where I expected the bulk of my production to come from.

          Easily Kenneth McAlinder

          http://ootp.oldredboat.com/news/html...layer_471.html

Signed him as a free agent just before the season started, and he's 3-1 with a 2.36 ERA. He's also gone at least 8 innings in each game he's pitched, including 2 shutouts and a complete game.

My entire AAA team pretty much. There may be some people in Pawtucket who should be looking over their shoulders.

              Johnson "Haystack" Bedell - SP

I signed him late into FA. He had struggled for two years pitching for the Millers, and I figured he could have a great year pitching in my new park, in the non-DH league. I was expecting good enough numbers to be my #5. You know, .500 record, ERA over 4.00, win some, lose some. I wasn't expecting this:

              6 starts, 5-0, 2.57 ERA, 1.26 WHIP, 42 IP, 36 H, 28 K, 17 BB

Pretty damn good when you consider his ERA was double that last season, and his ERA was 6.46 the following.
              Wilmington Wildcats- 2057-
              Seattle Pilots- 2017-2041
              Washington Bats - 1979-2013

I don't think I really have anyone overachieving, everyone is pretty close to their averages so far for the Tobs.

Vincent Nino is looking like a star, but I thought he'd been underachieving since we started this league. He's got great ratings, just had never shown it before. Hopefully he keeps it up and has a huge season.

My team on the whole is underachieving. The 2 new SPs brought in as stopgaps until the "real" guys are ready have sucked something awful.

Several of my IF guys have decided that last year was a fluke and that despite the changes to make the field a little friendlier to hitters that they are going above and beyond the call to suck.

Two guys that I was high on last season have had sudden dropoffs in performance...probably due to disappointment that nothing else is working.

Bottom line...my team may be worse than last year's team.

Tristan Lucas .337/.364/.455 after .226/.317/.336 in his rookie season last year. He's also providing great defense at 2B.

My scouts have never thought that much of him and other teams have either laughed at me or not deigned to respond when I have suggested including him in a trade. But look who is laughing now.
