We were completely inept against Virginia. That was embarrassing but we had the best record in team history and won our first playoff series. Hopefully, I can retool a bit be more competitive next year.
I know it's early but Virginia is the Maine of the 90s?
I obviously feel really good about my team. I'm certainly not looking past the Clowns... but I feel like the team to beat this year and next. After that... Woodbury likely finds his "final" contract somewhere else and I'm a little concerned about where we are then. Obviously our pitching is staggering and Chavez and Maeda look like legit Superstars... but Woodbury leaving will change my team a lot.
Good series, Funclown. I'm honestly shocked we won, going in 3-9 against you during the season. Great season!
Now on to Virginia. We're no doubt the underdogs, but we'll do our best!
I'll be rooting for you brother Clown!! I've always admired the way your team was built. Can't make any excuses for the series, you outplayed us plain and simple.
Make some minor adjustments in 93 and push forward. No one said winning the Brew Cup would be that easy.
Couple of Seasons notes:
First Ale divisional title.
First 100 win season.
Jack Funclown is now .500 GM for his career.
