If someone wants to write up a proposal for 7-day/daily SIMs in the Playoffs for a vote... I support it. It would just be something that we might have to look at again down the road if we had to change Commish's to someone with a little less time.

A home series a day. M-T-W-TH-F. Even if a series went 7 games, it wouldn't take longer than two regular sims.
That way we can use 7 day lineups (if I ever make it back) like the regular season. The playoffs started out on a Wednesday this year. Wed-Tues would have had Virginia and I at 3-2 and a chance to fix lineups and adjust pitchers (which mean I would have won).
Even if all series went 2 sims and we kept our normal schedule that's only 2 weeks of sims...well worth it for playoff time.
To even speed that up I'm sure though those playoff teams could easily dload the file, make changes, and upload quickly...especially since there are only 8 teams to start.

Playoff Proposal
-7 day sims for all rounds
- Previous sim to playoffs stops at the day the playoffs start (this year it stopped a day short)
Rd 1 - Monday (Tues if necessary)
Rd 2 - Wednesday (Thurs if necessary)
Rd 3 - Friday (Monday if necessary)
If the 1st or 2nd round begins on a Friday like this year then a continuation to a round can be completed Sat/Sun if necessary.
Obviously the days can change depending on where we are in the week.

Congrats to Baltimore, it's too bad we couldn't pull off the series win but I'm happy we put up a serious fight. The first two games could have been easily ours if our bullpen didn't blow it. They've been so reliable all year but perhaps the pressure got to them.
Glad I put Mac Avery in the rotation over Doug Hill as he ended up picking up 2 wins. He was hot to enter the playoffs and remained that way for his two starts.
Vern Branch also entered the playoffs hot and remained that way, he hit 4 home runs in Game's 2 to 5. He will be a free agent this offseason and has pushed me over the edge to lock him up long term. We'll see if we can work something out....Toronto Canadians - 2004-

Question about bonuses:
I think Clay had this happen but does the game recognize our awards when entered to affect the bonus payout? For example if Pancho H. has Pitcher of the Year bonus in his contract, he is paid that after he wins the award and the commish enters our manually selected award winners correct?
My question being how will it work for relievers? Bayer has a bonus in his contract for Pitcher of the Year. Obviously he won't ever win that but he could possible win our reliever award (which is what the bonus was for).
Is that something we will have to go in and manually do?

Thanks for running this in the chat Clay. Good times indeed.
SpoilerWhat a series! Even though it ended the way it did, it really would have been something to see play out on TV. I just read through some of the game logs, and damn!
Great series and great season Gyro!

Yea, I don't think that's how the award works in OOTP, but if you really want to pay it out because we might vote him Last Call, I'm sure the league will support you spending more money. :)Denver Bulls
