Can't we just award the trophy to Virginia now and just skip this?

          Pre-mature?

I think the Patriots are a very good team and probably the only team with the horses to offensively challenge a Magness-less Colonial team.

Unfortunately for the IL, I just don't believe any of the 3 remaining teams have enough gas to compete with the Big Blue Machine, even without Magness and O'Hegarty.

We (Baltimore) just don't have the starting pitching to compete in 7 games with Grady out, unless the un-hittable version of Dani Salcido shows up. Batavia has the best chance of sneaking up on Virginia. They have a balanced rotation and lights out bullpen, but at the plate, they don't create enough runs.

And Davenport is the Bock champ. Maybe they get lucky in the 11:1 odds.

The DL playoffs just seem so much more interesting.

Question: How do lineups work in the Brewmaster's? Does the home team dictate DH/no-DH, All-Star Game results, or something else?

And home field goes by straight won/ loss record I assume?

Hey, just realized Pawtucket won its FIRST divisional title ever! Last year was wild card.

I believe that is the case. And I'm pretty sure its 2-3-2 in the finals. We're breaking up the Brewmaster's this year into 2-3 sims.

Obviously Clay has done one helluva job with the Colonials. They're a fucking powerhouse.

But, I said it last year before the playoffs and I'll say it again (even though it's obvious this year), but don't sleep on Pawtucket. That's one damn good team and I think they can be Virginia's equal, at least over 7 games.

To be fair, you also thought Syracuse was good. ;)

Pawtucket is the only team with even a slight chance. Barring some freak injuries or something, I don't see that changing anytime soon.

I really didn't expect to be in the playoffs without Guardamagni and Cahill. Dealba gave me everything he had and carried our rotation this year. But I'm afraid there's not much left in the tank for the playoffs. We'll see. Maybe he can run on adrenaline for a series.

This little piggy is as ready as he's going to be.

                            Just happy to be here.

Gotta give a shout out to SP Zander Walters. In his last 8 games he's 7-0 with a 0.49 ERA. Combined with SP Pete Hudder who's 3-0 with a 0.75 ERA in his last 4 starts they closed the door on any chance of another team sneaking in for the wild card.

Now my main problem is figuring out a playoff rotation. Gonzalez has been solid, Castre and Sasaki are playing well, and Walters and Hudder are lights out.

How exactly are the playoff sims split up? Are they 7 game series? Do we do one entire round no matter how long it takes, or do we get to stick to our 7 day lineups and only go a week at a time? Ahh...to be a playoff rookie.

Looking back I see it's one complete round. Man after such a long season we're sure eager to get those playoffs done.

So are 7 day lineups no good?
