I'm not sure who you're going to start, nor should you tell anyone before hand, but in real life, this would be one hell of a Baseball Tonight topic.
Who do you start? Carillo is out, Fitzgerald is sick (and tired), Theodore is exhausted, Fink is tired...
Which leaves Nathan, Tardif... and Corrigan. I think IMO, Nathan would be the odd man out, which leaves the younger Tardif or the playoff tested Corrigan. In real life, I think Corrigan would get the start due to his playoff experience.
In OOTP though, we can look at his ratings, etc, and know he's probably not the best choice. It's crazy, but if it was me, I might look at starting CL Norm Winters.
I thought long and hard about it.
And yes, I did seriously consider Winters. I'm usually the guy to do something crazy for the sake of being unpredictable. But no, he will be in the bullpen.
I also thought about starting Corrigan, but I made such a big deal out of him getting his last start in Maine that he will be in the bullpen today.
And I disagree that Corrigan would get the start in today's MLB. He is basically Tim Wakefield right now. If the Sox had a one-game play-in, and could start Corrigan or Lackey, I'm pretty sure they'd choose Lackey.
I'm glad everyone is only talking about Pitt's SP situation...mine must be a lot better? I sure didn't think so. I couldn't export during the day yesterday since I was at work, but I did go back & forth on about 5 different options for who to start.
