I'm already mathematically eliminated, so why did the injury gods still take Seltzer away from me? Such a good season for a guy that's missed over a month of baseball this summer.

Not sure how Cook suffered a setback. He was two weeks away from recovery and is now one week away. Uh, ok. Same with Pedro. His injury was 1-2 weeks. So the bad news is he's out for the 2 weeks the doctors already suspected. Umm, ok.

Manny Rivera sets single season Denver walk record with 107. He's good.

Raul Soto threw 0.1 innings in his last start, but gave up 0 earned runs. 7 were unearned. Bad to the WHIP, great for ERA (thus proving how ridiculous of a stat it is! HA!)

Donnie Greene got smacked for the first time since late June thus ending all pimpage.

Yes... my team is frightened. It will be all we can do to keep it together long enough to break our Single Season Wins record that we set last season.

This is a choke job for the ages. We've followed up a 17-10 August with a 9-16 September.

Our ace is done. Our closer is done.

Our second baseman returns this sim. When he's been on the field, we win. Here's hoping, with the wild card lead down to a single game.

Wow, next week will be a make or break as we have 3 vs Los Alamos, 4 vs Carolina. We usually have a way of sneaking our way into the playoffs, so I'd like to think we are capable of pulling this off.

We were able to get a 3 game cushion on LA by sweeping Baltimore, but Windy City turns around and sweeps us!

Mel Woodbury has quietly been outstanding since returning from injury. He's taken the IL lead in OPS and should have/could have been in the conversation for a stunning 5th straight Stout Slugger had he not missed that month.

In related news, in Game 3 against Wilmington, Woodbury swiped the 300th base of his career. He becomes the 13th man in BLB history to reach that number and is the only man to have both 300 SB and 300 HRs.

Love this guy!!! Going to be interesting how next year (the final year of his deal) plays out in Virginia.
