  • *OFFICIAL* 1992 Domestic League Award PIMP Thread

Please use this thread to PIMP your Players for the Import League End-of-the-Season Awards. My suggestion is to limit the actual discussion in this thread and keep it to posts from GM pimping the wares of their players. Each post can be updated over the final two SIMs of the Regular Season. This will allow people to get their PIMPing in since we have a history of having some very eager voters once the polls open.

DOMESTIC LEAGUE ONLY in this thread.
    The Great One!

    To many rings to count...

I didn't realize Fitzgerald was so "old".

Obviously 26 isn't old... but it isn't as young as I thought he was. I guess adding the college years in put him in the draft as what, a 22-23 year old?

Sorry it will be close, but I'm voting for Gervasio Dealba if it ends today.

Not into pimping so much unless its my wife, but I'd say Carmem Chamissa will probably nail down an award this season.

Given that Linty already blew his discussion load, I'll respond here.

It took him a few years in the Show to start living up to his potential. I managed to sign him to an awesome extension earlier this year before he really started pitching out of his mind.

I won't argue Carrillo as number one, but Donnie Greene has something to say about Fitzgerald trying to be number two.

Keep the top spots for the guys that have actually accomplished more than one winning season in the league, thank you.

edit: And you know what, considering Carillo's injury, if Donnie Greene somehow manages to keep pitching in the last two weeks as lights out as he's been in the entire second half, someone might need to worry about some real competition.

Greene has been awesome. He is a worthy opponent for both.

Russ McEvoy for Pale Ale- #1 in WHIP, #2 in wins. Leading the league in walks per 9 innings. He's basically the Greg Maddux of the BLB.

Don Leonard is also a worthy candidate for the prize. He doesn't have a gaudy win-loss record but he leads the league in strikeouts.

You never want to argue with me, punk.

I should say that Fitzgerald has been amazing. You did the right thing in giving him that extension so soon. I still laugh that the article called him a star player. The article wouldn't be wrong today.

It's a good fight. I'm not going to ignore Dealba or McEvoy either. Though, I do feel like Dealba is just part of the conversation because of his win total. I said it.

I'm sure that part, but think his ERA is also n#1 also.

Now that I'm looking at it, have to say P Alonzo Gugierrez is n#1 and a few areas.

Won't vote for him since having the n#1 defense behind you tends to help.

Are you kidding me? I must have the worst memory in the world because I feel like it was just last offseason you were pointing out how people vote blindly based off of wins and K's...

Yea that's my point. I'm saying that Dealba is only brought up bc of wins. I don't think he should be voted just based on that.

Totally my fault. I missed where you said "just part of the conversation" and thought you were saying he should be part of the conversation. Sorry buddy.
