I'm really hoping Donato Guardamagni can get to 200 wins and 3000 K's before the season ends.

    Currently he's 4 wins away and 9 K's away.

Don Castor - currently 133 RBI, already 24th on the single season all time list, 16 behind the record. How will his recently disclosed medical issue distract him as he goes for the record?

Also, will we see two triple crown pitchers this year? Carillo and Herrera currently lead their respective leagues in the big three categories.

K's should be a lock. Wins will be tough.

Keeping a close eye on Batavia. I'm currently five games back and we don't play one another again this season. I only have 10 games remaining against .500+ teams. Batavia has 13. I have 15 road games left. Batavia has 11. To take a look even further down the road, the Bats finish the year with four games against Wilmington, while Batavia finishes with four against Baltimore. I think the Muckdogs are the better team but that doesn't necessarily mean they will be the one in the playoffs when it's all said and done.

Another big story to follow is the DL playoffs and stretch run. There are a lot of "good" teams and in my eyes only one great team in Pawtucket. Pittsburgh, Los Lunas, Mississippi, Indy and Dallas will battle down to the wire for those last few spots. Should be really fun to watch.

Stout division battle for the Stout Slugger award. Mike Murdock vs. Hector Chavez. You could make an argument for either at this point, so it likely will come down to who has the better finish to the year.

Well, I obviously want to see the Bats win the WC, but I'd also like to see the Bock winner at least be .500 by seasons end. You guys are making the IL look bad. Of course, you will just be swept and embarrassed when you get there...maybe that's why no one wants the division crown.

I also want to see what Arredondo can do to help this club. After "blowing it up" my team started to play better and I made a deal that didn't take a lot to improve my club. He has an option for next year that I highly doubt I exercise but if the old man can carry this club to the playoffs, I will consider it.

Easily the story of the season for me is the Syracuse Slammers. The hype. The big names. The expectations. Wow. Last place after adding Wilkerson and Scott? Unreal.

And will anyone stand in the way of a Pawtucket-Virginia championship matchup? Obviously, in the IL, the pressure falls squarely on the Bulldogs. The Bock "winner" and WC team, whether it's the Bats or Muckdogs, I don't think stand a chance. In the DL, I think Dallas has the firepower to upset a Pawtucket, but it's still a question if they will even make it.

If the Bats fall further out of the WC hunt, you will likely see a lot of youngsters getting a shot. If I deem myself, "out of contention" I'm going to have to see what some of these guys can do for the squad next year.

I'll be watching Gervasio Dealba's left arm, to see if it comes flying off (thus ending our run for the post-season).

Dealba and Cavadas will probably end up Co-MVPs for the Furry Pigs this year. Tesina and Salguero are battling it out for Comeback Player of the Year. Backup Catcher Pancho Negron gets Most Under-appreciated Player. Phil Sephton gets Biggest Disappointment/Better Get Your Ass in Gear award for '92.

We need to get younger (and better) in the starting rotation this off-season. We need another good bat in the OF too.

The first wave of my prospects has arrived in Carolina so I'll be interested to see how we fare down the stretch. There's going to be some games when we start 5 rookies in our lineup with 3 more in the starting rotation.

My next group of prospects is in AA so hopefully if they can keep progressing we'll eventually climb out of the cellar.

I'm hoping Pat Gates will keep up his recent play and lock up IL New Brew, but that's a close race at the moment.

I'm just hoping for an injury-free September and October for Baltimore. We've battled injuries all year and I'd really like us to be as close to 100% as possible going into the playoffs.

I'm also very interested to see how Batavia plays down the stretch as we have somewhere along the lines of 8 or 9 meetings left against our division mates, which could really swing the division one way or another.

Finally, I've got a few call-ups in September that may or may not see action depending on if we can expand our lead in the Porter a bit.

Lol, just funny reading now the original preview for Pawtucket:

What We Fear: Starting Pitching – While Aurillo and Gugz are an effective 1-2 punch on paper, it’s hard to get excited about a top end of your staff that boast ERAs close to 4.50. A lot of unanswered questions in the 3-5 slot will leave the Patriot in a lot of slugfests.

                      Good reading though!

How's that funny? Look at your team. Your starting pitching (especially the back half of your rotation) IS the weakest part of your team. I'd say I nailed it on the nose.

Also picked you to be the best team in the DL (and BLB).... I think I nailed your team as well if not better than any in the preview.

The two best pitchers in the league are in my starting rotation. I will destroy anyone who stands in my way when the calendar turns over to October.

                              Clay,

Guess your right except Ocampo at #3 pretty strong. Alfonzo having a monster year. As for my #4-#7 spot..... yeah I think your right. Tell you thr truth I've also played around in those spots for a few months now. I kept giving Vern EVERY chance so bad on me. Raul is another guy that is so hot and cold.

                              Now as for the bullpen......
