4-2 sim, but not unscathed. Deadline acquisition Mark Melanson is now out for the remainder of the season with a torn meniscus. That injury might also end his career.

Man, I was sorry to see that. Quite a farewell tour for him.

        We are awful.

Really don't deserve to win the division after the way we've played lately. Probably wont be in contention come mid September, our free fall needs to stop!

Pawtucket 4-2. Kind of expected a let down with our best pitcher taking a rest on the IR.

Opio out for 4 weeks. Gives us a good chance to look at some of our AAA guys this coming month.

              Overall, not suprised.

Uh oh, Don Castor has a *ahem* viral infection. Let's hope it's not anything too serious. There's some groundbreaking research taking place right now, but still feels like we're years away from a breakthrough.

A quad injury ends any chances Tad Jackson had of breaking the doubles record.

At the time of his injury he was up to 47 2B's with 44 games to go. Record was 65.

We gotta figure out how to win one run games. 0-3 again in them this week. And it's even the stud relievers I have doing it. Everyone is doing their part!

But hey we're over .500 since July 1 still!

Injuries always slow down the guys with the best talent to get there. Dane agrees to a friendly doubles rivalry.

Oh man, I just took a look at the Bock "race"

Anyway, had a good sim and have narrowed my deficit with Los Lunas to just 3 games. Have a tough six games against Baltimore and Batavia coming up in interleague play. It's time for Don Leonard and Russ McEvoy to step up and show why they're one of the best 1-2 combos in the BLB for the home stretch.

I don't know why everyone rags on the Bock. My team went 5-1 this week and appears primed for a championship run. Break up the Tobs!

Jim Newlin really likes being in Baltimore. After just 3 weeks of play, I'm almost impressed enough to sign him to be our 3rd baseman for the next couple of years. He's a bit greedy, though.
