I have to be one of the craziest SOBs here, but I don't care.

Our prized rookie pitcher T.J. Cook showed us that he can swing a bat. And so, we let him.

Denver will have to make some adjustments as he couldn't go deeper than 4 innings in his impressive start probably because of fatigue, but considering this is a wasted season, we're going to see how far Cook can go.

T.J. Cook started three times on the field. He went 0-4 in his first start, but quickly went 2-4 in the next, driving in a run, and then 1-4 with a 3-run shot.

Call us crazy, but OSA says the guy can rake and pitch. He's not a bad 1B either.

If he can be the first full-time combo player in the league, Denver will make sure it happens. He won't be able to play 162 games in a season, but maybe he can play 100 on the field and throw another 30.

Late push for Refreshing New Brew if he keeps this up.

        Pawtucket 5-1.

13 team win streak snapped when P Alonzo Gugierrez went down with an injury first inning. Luckily will most likely miss one start. P Tommy Lang had a respectable debut for us.

Finally some breathing room in the Ale. Seemed to go back and forth for awhile. Just need to keep on wining.

          5-1 (61-50 overall)

          The Big Dogs

Once again we played Virginia tough and took 2 of 3 from them, albeit both one run games. On the season we're 6-6 vs. the mighty Colonials...and we'll take that.

          The 1-Runners

Out of our 5 wins, 4 of them were by 1 run. Our one loss was also by 1 run. So basically we're a few runs away from 1-5.

          En Fuego

          Ednams hit .500/.643/.600 for the week with 3 RBI's, 8 BB's, 0 K's, and 4 SB's.

          Bayer also had a rebound week with 3 saves...4 IP, 2 H, 6 K's, 0 BB's.

          Patience

Ednams wasn't the only one who was patient at the plate. As a team we had 37 walks to 25 K's. In years of past we'd be -20 for the week, to be +12 is a huge turnaround and the reason we had a .402 OBP for the week.

          Tricksters

This goes out to Baltimore who conceded the division to us after their injury prone month. So we go 5-1 and low and behold...we're still 9 games back because they went 5-1. They waved the white flag then shot us as we approached.
