Adron to Miss Game Due to Death in Family
Sunday, June 7th, 1992: Tragedy has struck Mississippi Storm player Ernesto Adron. Adron will spend the next few days being with his family after the sudden passing of a family member."We were so close. I just can't believe he's gone. I would appreciate some privacy through this tough time for me and my family. Baseball will still be here when I get back."

    Nice touch.

I quit, I hate this game. I'm starting a new Draft Day sports basketball league thanks to a recommendation by a certain SGN staff member. Have fun!

Tough 3-4 week against the division.

Can't complain the way we've been playing this season but it's a little disappointing to not have a winning sim against our division rivals.

Maine and Hartford will be visiting us for some interleague play, hopefully we can teach them a thing or two about IL baseball.

Baltimore Bulldogs (34-24, 1st in Porter)

              2-0 vs. Batavia
              1-1 at Philadelphia
              3-0 vs. California

Great start to June at a great time. 6-1 in division play puts us back in first place, but it didn't come without a cost. Baltimore star left fielder, Loren Wallace has an oblique strain that will keep him out for at least the next two weeks.
              The Week in Review

              - Better Late tha Never:
Takanibu Sato started the year slowly, but has come around to his normal level of production in late May-Early June. Last week, Sato hit .478/.536/.696 and we will especially need his production for the next two weeks.

'Cast-or' Splint: This will be a big month for young phenom, Don Castor, as we will lean heavily on the kid in Wallace's absence. He is only 22, but his progression in 1992, shows that the sky may be the limit for him. Not only does he currently lead the league in home runs, RBI and BB/K, but he also is top ten in OBP+SLG, walks, isolated power, extra base hits and total bases.

              Bulldogs and Pitching: Like PB&J?
: Our pitching was outstanding last week, posting an IL-best, 2.53 ERA and 1.08 WHIP. Both JJG and Dani (Salcido) played well. The two emerging young stars combined for 3 wins, 30.7 innings, just 5 runs, and 23 K's.

              Answered Prayers:
We finally won a couple of close games this past week after a completely dismal May. In both instances, Hamilton Remy (3B) played a crucial role. Versus Batavia it was a 10th inning, 1-out walk-off double. Against California, Remy hit a 2-run blast that ignited a 3-run rally in the 12th.

              The Injured
Akira Abe (SP)-torn triceps (2-3 months)
Loren Wallace (OF)-strained oblique (2-3 weeks)

              Next Up:

Lots of fun as we host Hyundai and this year's surprise team, Los Lunas Javelinas. I never know what to expect with inter-conference play, but I'm hoping for just a .500 week, with our best player out.

Predictions: 2-1 vs. HYU / 1-2 vs. JAV

                Might this be true?

Don't drag us into this. We're still in rebuild mode, happy to be 4 games under .500.

Lol, have to love OOTP logic sometimes.

With the Pawtuckets clinging to a 2 run lead in the 4th my manager had decided Raul Guzman had enough after allowing what must of been a unforgivable hit. Poor guy doesnt get the decision and the game turned into a slugfest 7-6.

No wonder this poor kid is losing his mind!

Geeze...I'm almost afraid to post this...

Another great sim (6-1). Actually had some offense, averaging 5+ runs per game. Nice to see CF Artie Dickerson have a good week. Phil Sephton too. He's been dogging it most of the season.

Two big, late wins against the Mississippi Storm. Managed to get to Ching late in game 1. Gotta' love my rookie's at bat in the bottom of the 9th of game 2; against their excellent Closer.

Awesome that you are on fire and I'm playing you in a 3 game set this week! At least you're a nice guy so when you kick my ass you'll buy me a beer after the game and explain baseball to me.

Historically we're not very good on the road; although lately I can't complain! All I'm asking for is two out of three...every series, all season long!
