Pawtucket 3-4. Been hanging around the .500 past few weeks. Little rut happening.

Some good news is Ivan back next week and there has been a Hector sighting! His bat appears to be heating up finally. It seems in the beginning of the year either Hector or Victor like to get slowly out of the gate.

Keep pressing along. Lets see if we can slow Pittsburgh down a bit this week.

We have gone 9-16 in one-run games, including 5, one-run losses this week alone. Very frustrating to watch.

Enjoy our early struggles while you can boys and gals.

You'll be fine. Unless there is some cosmic OOTP force out to get you the division is yours.

We're just excited to say we were in 1st play of the division more than 1 week into the season. With only 5 games separating all four teams maybe we can make it a fun one to watch. There is no stat/win padding playing in the Porter.

6-1 week to finish off a 22-6 month of May! We are pitching out of our asses right now. Obviously, there will be Hell to pay in June.

Not sure what algorithm this game uses for monthly awards, but how the hell does Joe Alvarez win IL Pitcher of the Month??? He wasn't even the best reliever this month, let alone the best Pitcher.

Your guy Sam Helmrich pulled it out for you in game 2. Uchida blew the save in the bottom of the 8th after I had scored 2 in the top of the inning to take the lead. Sammy hit a two-out, 0-2 rocket to the top of your CF wall.

What's up with that guy? Great ratings and a .208 batting average?! Obviously he does OK in clutch situations.

Just realized that Ironfist has made 7 consecutive starts on the road. Not doing the kid any favors. He is 51/1 K/BB in those 7 starts though.

Yeah, I saw that. Not sure what happened there.

Big thing that jumps out at me is the fact that if he didn't win the game for the Bats, he probably saved the game. The Bats went 14-14 in the month of May. So, basically, 4-13 when Alveraz didn't play. That's got to count for something, right?

The wins must sway it. Game can't differentiate between a relief W and a starter. That makes more sense. It's still a garbage win.

Last year he rocked at the leadoff spot. This year different story. My manager seems hellbent on putting him the cleanup spot. Won't go that route, but might add him to the big 3 and see what he does.

The lineup like last year wont be set again til about July.

He's on pace to go 19-6, 29 saves, 2.32 ERA and 112 innings.

Obviously he won't come close to those numbers, but if he did, that's not really "garbage."

Wins for a closer is a garbage stat.
