I'll make you the same bet I would have made that dumb clown.

Tardif posts an ERA under 4 in Pittsburgh. T-shirt bet?

I still think one of the worst deals was Z trading Alvarez, Avery, and any chance at first place for Tardif and Carbajal.

He's my shadow so I expect Pitt to hang with us least til the last month of the season.

You're just pissed because Alvarez and Tardif aren't on your team to bone in the showers anymore.

In Pittsburgh? So, under a 4.00 ERA since the trade? Or under a 4.00 ERA, when he pitches at your park?

My '92 T-Shirt bet is pretty much a lock at this point...so I really don't want to chance my winnings by making a second one.

                        5-1 (26-18 overall)

                        3-0 vs. Windy City
                        2-1 vs. Virginia

                        The Big 9th (x2)

We scored 5 runs in the 9th against Windy City in two consecutive games. The first game we were tied...the second we were behind by three going into it. The story of both big innings...walks. Combined for those two innings we had seven walks.

                        That's What I'm Talking About...Er...Never Mind

Curt Tanner had a big game vs. Windy City...6 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 4 K's, and his first ever BLB win. Then against Virginia he only made it 4.1 innings, gave up 7 runs, and walked 3. He's going to the bullpen a while to give him a break and build up his confidence. We still think he'll be a solid #3 down the road.

                        Wakey Wakey

Jermaine Ednams hit .333/.429/.625 with 2 HR's, 2 SB's, and 2 BB's for the week, his best of the season. He's hitting .260 on the year but his 31 walks to 9 K's has his OBP up to .379 which is fine by us. We don't mind playing small ball.

                        The Pen

Still shaky behind the few elite...but the elite and doing a good job. Crossman, Basil, and Martel all gave up no runs this week and pitched a combined nine innings. Bayer gave up a run but still managed 4 saves and 7 K's in 4.0 IP.

                        The Outfield

There is ROTY candidate Joe Rojas...and everyone else. Rojas hit .400/.500/.550 this week with 6 RBI's and 5 BB's. Marin hit .150, Nan hit .056, Isaiz hit .167, and Fehilly hit .250 (in 4 AB's).

                        The Future

                        3 @ Wilmington
                        4 @ Philly

Geez do we ever get a break? We got swept by Wilm last series and are 1-1 against the Freedom this season.
