It's not that, most of us just have Z on IGNORE.

Oh yeah.... Tigers had Deer, Inky and Micky Tettleton all during the same period. Needless to say, we saw a shit-ton of BIG, BIG empty swings.

By the way, my answer is Mel Woodbury.

Don McGuire is a close second but let him have a career first before we start anointing him the best power hitter of league history.

I'm not sure it's Woodbury. I think he's in the conversation, but pure Power Hitter, I'm not sure.

When we start talking best position player... I think it's Woodbury hands down right now with a few younger guys chasing him.

I honestly have no idea. Last year he was dinged up off and on for the whole season and never got in a groove. This year, I have no explanation. He has always been streaky...and has always been injury prone...so I think he will eventually come around. But maybe not.

These have already been said, but I was late to the party:

                  Best Old School:

                  1) Dani Avlarez
                  2) Mel Woodbury
                  3) Harry Keppel

                  Best New School (pure conjecture):

                  1) Finley Kinsey
                  2) Don McGuire
                  3) Don Castor

and, had I been around earlier for this:

I would have given one of these:
