As does mine... but I feel like Gaston is going to reach the majors before the other two would.

My scout has Gaston a little lower as well, but by my rankings he's the #1 hitter by a sizeable margin. In fact, really the top guy overall by quite a bit.

Just trying to predict who will be top 100 after the draft:

(I don't think these are the best guys, in fact I have a few of them rated way down my list... but just taking a shot)

        Deleon
        Legere
        Benitez
        Ortiz
        Gaston
        P. Harrison
        Trent
        Hautbourg
        Pierce
        W. Harrison
        Charlotte Knights - OSFL
        Syracuse Slammers - BLB

I have 18 guys (at least) that I think have Top 100 potential. 9 out of your list of 10 are on that list.

I'm not picking until the 3rd rd so no 1st round busts this year. In all fairness my 2nd rounders havent been too bad.

If it matters, I'm going to take 2 really good players with your first two picks.

To be fair, I don't think these guys are the 10 best prospects in the draft. Just that I think I know how the game comes up with the initial top 100 list after the draft.

Your scout is godlike...it has nothing to do with you. You should thank him daily.

Here everybody goes again negating the point of scouting by talking about the top players before they've been picked.

Agreed. I only mentioned Gaston because he was mentioned in like 10 different posts before mine.

Agreed. When I say 18 guys it's based on how I feel that BA list rates players

Scout gets the assist... it's my "Outliers" 10,000 hours of BLB that gets it done. Pathetic... but I'll take it.

I know. And what if you wanted him and the guy before you scout said he sucked? We go through this every few years it seems like. So what's the point in an amatuer scouting budget?
