With the 15th pick in the 1992 BLB Amateur Draft, the Washington Bats (through Syracuse) select, 1B Shawn Nolan out of Cal State Fullerton.
My scout thinks he has the tools to be a superstar but fears he might fall a bit short and be just a good player. Nolan for whatever reason, played 1B for the Titans, however, my scouts think he will be a top notch defensive infielder, likely at 2B or SS. I also really like his intelligence and work ethic. Plus, he will be in the bigs sooner than later.
I went back and forth between Nolan and another hitter...who I assume will be off the board in the next 2-3 picks. Maybe even the very next.
Quality pick. For sure move him to SS if you have a need there.

Exactly. I think I only see maybe 2 players that I want to take a chance on at 1.20, and one of those guys is a maybe. I'll be in chat if anyone would like to make a deal.
